“To be free in a world seeking liberty” Found my new church! The current Chaplain for the Glendale Elks Lodge #1289 is @shanekinnison and I was so impressed with his prayers during Lodge events I decided to check out his church: #firstbaptistchurchofglendale 209 N. Louise St. Glendale, CA 91206 fbcglendale.net (818)242-2113 This past Sunday the sermon was about Galatians Chapter 5 and how what really counts is your faith expressing itself through love. Pastor Kinnison talked about how you are released from shackles that bind you, yet some people decide to gather those shackles and put them back on... a very expressive and thought-provoking sermon. I am so #thankful. The congregation was very welcoming and I saw a familiar face or two and had a great conversation with a genealogy enthusiast and member of the #DAR #daughtersoftheamericanrevolution. I wholeheartedly recommend this church so if you want to chill with me any Sunday, the coffee fellowship is 10:30am followed by worship at 11:00am.
Celebrating with Porto’s Desserts and coffee the Second Anniversary of Dr. Shane and Stephanie Kinnison as our Pastor family!!

First Baptist Church of Glendale stands in prayerful solidarity with the Jewish Synagogue in San Diego County and all who are suffering grief and sorrow as the result of an unspeakable hate-filled violent attack. The domestic terrorism of extremist white nationalism, armed with weaponized religious and social philosophies and military weapons of assault, is causing havoc on peaceful people seeking to live their lives in a free society. These fanatical, radicalized proponents of hate mistakenly believe that they have permission to act violently and vengefully at will. It is up to us to stand in unity with our diverse neighbors, to stand strong in the face of hate, bigotry, and violence, and to become that unmovable wall of peaceful resistance. In these somber and heavy times, it is important to remind one another of the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr when he said, “The arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.” Our perseverance in the face of hate may be a long road but that road will lead us to life.
